Catherine Wilkinson Parker

Catherine Wilkinson Parker, 88, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Born on February 1, 1938, Catherine was the daughter of the late Sidney M. Wilkinson and Myrtle Overton Wilkinson. A lifelong resident of Fayetteville, she was a respected businesswoman and the owner and operator of Bordeaux Florist for many years, where she shared her love of flowers and served the community with dedication.

Catherine was a faithful member of Carroll Memorial Baptist Church. She also shared her musical talents as the handbell director at Westminster Presbyterian Church for many years, bringing joy and inspiration to countless worship services through her leadership and love of music.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Billy Ray Parker; her parents, Sidney M. Wilkinson and Myrtle Overton Wilkinson; and her brother, James Wilkinson.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, James Bryan "Jimmy" Parker and his wife, Doreen; her daughters, Debra "Debbie" Anne Carson and Karen Parker Neal; brother, Sydney Wilkinson; nephews, Steve Wilkinson and David Wilkinson and niece, Tina Wilkinson; her grandchildren, Rachel Neal and Sarah Lyda; her great-grandchildren, Whit Lyda and Lily Lyda, along with many extended family members and friends who will remember her kindness, faith, and generous spirit. She also leaves behind her loving Dachshund companion, Haley.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Cross Creek Cemetery.
