FAYETTEVILLE- Ms. Catherine Robertson died Monday, March 19, 2012 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 21 at 11AM at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6-8PM at the Funeral Home. Catherine was born in Tallahassee, Florida to the late Eddie and Annie Smith. She was raised in Massey Hill. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church and was a volunteer at the Cape Fear Valley Cancer Center. Her children say she was "the Greatest Mom on Earth". She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren Eugene Robertson and a son, Robert Wayne Robertson. She is survived by her children, Loren E. Robertson and wife Terri of Cedar Creek, Walter Robertson and wife Sandy of Fayetteville, Donna Street and husband Nelson of Fredricksburg, VA, Curtis Robertson and wife Sheila of Hope Mills, Kathy Cumbia and husband Jeff of Hope Mills, Debbie Owen and husband Randy of Fayetteville, and Phyllis Williams and husband Bill of Fayetteville; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carrie Hammond of Fayetteville.
