Catherine D. Tatum Mrs. Catherine Denson Tatum, 89, of Fayetteville, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, in Bethesda Health Care Facility. Mrs. Tatum was born in Rocky Mount. She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church and a retired elementary school teacher in Cumberland County. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Harry A. Tatum Sr. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. today, Nov. 2, 2008, in Cedar Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Horace Barefoot and Dr. John Peverett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the church. Mrs. Tatum is survived by her sons, Harry A. Tatum Jr. and wife Linda and Curtis Tatum and wife Dusty, all of Eastover; daughter, Cathy Tatum Vinson and husband Donovan of Eastover; sister, Corinna Hedgepeth of Rocky Mount; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
