Cecil Lawrence McCabe, 55, of 1500 Middle River Loop, Fayetteville, die Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mr. McCabe was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a former employee with Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held at 3 pm Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, in Freedom Baptist Church. Burial will be in LaFayette Memorial Park. A visitation will be held Thursday from 1:30 to 3 pm at the church. Mr McCabe is survived by his mother, Clara Edge McCabe of Fayetteville; father and stepmother, Cecil and Inez McCabe of Fayetteville; sons, Timothy Lee McCabe of Norfolk, VA., and Cecil Lawrence McCabe Jr. of New York; brothers, Kenneth M. McCabe of Elm City and Carson E. McCabe of Wade; sisters, Sandra Lynne McCabe of Fayetteville and Sheila Horne of Hope Mills; half brother, Manuel McCabe of Fayetteville; half sister, Cynthia McCabe of Fayetteville; and four granddaughters.
