FAYETTEVILLE NC- Mr. Charles W. Pippin, 86, of Fayetteville, died early Sunday morning at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mr. Pippin was an Army veteran of the Korean War. A memorial service will be held Tuesday evening, October 9, 2012, at 5 pm in Jernigan Warren Chapel with Pastor Russell Kinlaw presiding. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Muriel Billie Pippin of Raeford; 2 sons, Michael D. Pippin and wife Kathy of Fayetteville and Charles William Pippin and wife Ramona of Summerville, SC; 2 daughters, Muriel Lee Pippin of Miami and Ceridwen "Kitty" Griffith of Fayetteville; and four grandchildren, Zachary Pippin, Charity Pippin, Anna Marie Griffith, and Madison Renee Griffith. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
