Charles Raymond Russell, 66, of Fayetteville passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019.

Charles was a disabled veteran of the Marines and Army. He worked at Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital and Cape Fear Valley Medical Center as a Registered Nurse until his death.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11 am in the Jernigan-Warren Chapel.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 am to 11 am on Saturday before the funeral.

Charles is survived by his wife, Pandora Russell; daughter, Kimberly Gerdes and husband Brian; stepson, Michael Mangone; step-daughter, Sharron LaPlante and husband David; brothers, Dr. Larry Russell and wife Hedi and Barry Russell; mother-in-law, Ruth Snipes; grandchildren, Elizabeth Gerdes, Matthew Gerdes, and  Gianni Mangone; sisters-in-law, Emily Bond and husband John and Debbie Lewis; numerous nieces and nephews.
