COLUMBIA, SC Mr. Charles A. Skinner, Jr., 72, of Columbia, formerly of Fayetteville, died Saturday, May 21, 2016.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 2 pm in Jernigan Warren Chapel. The burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.

Charles had a successful career with Belk Department Store as an outstanding vice president for Belk Fayetteville Division. Charles was always dedicated to his family, his work, and to his boss. He was a very important part of the Belk group being one of the top producing Groups in the Belk organization. He later moved to Columbia to open a distribution center and serve as its Director before retiring in 2005.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lettie and Charles Skinner, Sr.; and a son, Steven Charles Skinner.

Charles is survived by his wife, Carol; his sons, David Skinner and Mark Skinner; his grandchildren, Noah, Madison, Angelica and Patrick; and a brother, Patrick L. Skinner.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 pm at the funeral home.

Flowers are welcome, but memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
