Charles R. Stubbs Sr., 64, of 3156 Smith Road, Fayetteville, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, in Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital. Mr. Stubbs was a Navy veteran and was a retired firefighter after 20 years of service. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2007, in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville with Rev. Jeff Isenhour officiating. The burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, Saturday, August 4, 2007, at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Stubbs of the home; daughters, Laura Stover and husband, Kenneth, of Fayetteville and Jennifer Koenig and husband, John, of Fayetteville; son, Charles Stubbs, Jr. \\"Chuck\\" of Fayetteville; his mother, Bertha Stubbs of Fayetteville; sister, Mary \\"Amy\\" Tally of Fayetteville; a brother, Nick Stubbs of South Carolina; and seven grandchildren, Ricky, Zack, Tyler, Austin, Garrett, Haley, and Taryn.
