Mrs. Chong Sun Chin Sibley, 85, of Fayetteville, NC, died Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the Wickshire Creek Crossing, Raeford, NC.

Chong was born March 20, 1938, in South Korea to the late Sok Chun Chin and Tu Sul Kim.  She was a homemaker and a member of Spring Lake Gospel Assembly of God.  Chong was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Don Sibley, who died February 3, 2023, and her brother, Yong Ho Chin.

Chong is survived by her daughter, Kristy Macy (and husband Brian); seven grandchildren, Brennon Lee Adkins, Austin Kyle Wallace, Rayanna Marie Wallace, Thomas Andrew Haywood Jr, Elizabeth Alexandra Macy, Joshua Taylor Macy, and Aaron Patrick Macy; one great-granddaughter, Gracelynn Elizabeth Adkins.

Chong will be greatly missed and never forgotten. She will remain in the hearts of her beloved family, wonderful friends, and church community but she is now reunited with her loving husband of 46 years. Her husband welcomed her with open arms to hold her once again after a brief separation and with that we will take comfort. Chong leaves us with not only beautiful memories but a testimony of true love never separated from your soul mate.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m., at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, with a funeral service beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Bragg Blvd., Spring Lake, NC 28390.
