Christopher William Hopkins, 66 of Fayetteville passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Chris was born April 7, 1952 in Hastings, Nebraska to the late Gerald and Adele Hopkins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Hopkins. Chris was a retired Army sergeant and served in the Old Guard. He was an avid coin collector. The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. The burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date with military honors. He is survived by his son, Ricky Hopkins and wife Jessica of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Stephanie Costa and husband Michael of Aliso Viejo, California; brother, Patrick Hopkins and wife Letitia of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Luca Costa, Sailor Costa, Colton Costa and Vincent Hopkins.
