FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Christel T. Gardner, 79, of Fayetteville, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Gardner was born in Berlin, Germany. \\"Ruhe in Frieden.\\" A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel, with Dr. John Hedgepeth officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband, Zebulon C. Gardner Jr. of the home, three sons, Ron Gardner of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Zebulon C. Gardner III of Margate, Fla., and Scott C. Gardner of Apex; and a daughter, Dianna Krist of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
