Mrs. Clairee Noell Stevens, 85, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Aug 28, 2015, at 1 pm in LaFayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12 to 12:45 pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home prior to the service.

Clairee was a graduate of Highsmith Hospital School of Nursing and later worked for Dr. W.C. Highsmith for a number of years. In all she worked as a registered nurse for 38 years in hospital duty.

She was also a member of Victory United Methodist Church.

Clairee was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; and daughter, Lynn Strickland.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Schaffer and husband Charlie of Louisburg; her granddaughter, Brandi Lovelace and husband Josh and their daughter Makenna of St. Petersburg; granddaughter, Jennifer Dawn Chaney and son Lucian of Henderson; sister, Mae Pullman of Fairfax, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
