FAYETTEVILLE — Mrs. Clara Webb Rasberry, 93, formerly of 602 Link Street, earned her angel wings on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Duke Regional Hospital.

Visitation will take place from 5:00-7:00pm on Saturday, March 12 at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 2:30pm on Sunday, March 13 at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Oliver of Second Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.

Clara was born on June 1, 1922 in St. Pauls to the late Jarrett Graham and Carrie Lee Webb. She served as a daycare worker and surrogate mother for several generations of children at Second Baptist Daycare. Clara was a selfless servant of the Lord, always sharing a kind word and lending a supportive hand to others in need.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed Rasberry, and son, Donald Rasberry. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: son, Bill Rasberry (Linda) of Fayetteville; daughter-in-law, Denise Rasberry of Fayetteville; four granddaughters, Heather Raper, Sara Rasberry, and Angel Garrish of Fayetteville, and Melissa Rasberry of Durham; one great granddaughter, Hailey Raper of Fayetteville; and scores of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity. Please denote in the memo line that funds should be designated to the B. Street Area Revitalization Project.
