Clarice Lee Melton Edge died peacefully in her home on August 28, 2021. Born in Salem, VA on April 20, 1925 to Rev. O.C. Melton Sr. and his wife Jettie Lee Davis, Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, Carlis and son, Jimmy.

She enjoyed cooking for her family and church community and was a long time volunteer for St. Matthew's United Methodist Church in their Thrift Shop. She was also a seamstress who enjoyed making clothes for herself and others.

Clarice is survived by two daughters Sue Crow and Carolyn Edge, both of Cary, as well as 5 grandchildren and  numerous great grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, 202 Hope Mills Road, 28304.
