Clayton Joseph Britt, 92 of Fayetteville passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016 in N.C. State Veterans Nursing Home. Clayton was born on August 10, 1923 in Cumberland County to the late Myrta Blue Edge and Claude Britt. He was the founder of Spa & Pool World by Clayton Britt and Sons. Clayton was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church.Clayton was an Air Corp. veteran of World War II.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Jernigan-Warren Chapel with Rev. Mike Oliver, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Mr. Britt is survived by his wife, Shirley Taylor Britt of Fayetteville; sons, Richard "Ricky" Clayton Britt and wife Tammy of Fayetteville; John Taylor Britt and wife Angie of Fayetteville; daughters, Sandy Benton and husband Barry of Calhoun, Georgia; Cheryl Kawazoe and husband Howard of Santa Fe, New Mexico; sisters, Mildred Hatcher of Fayetteville, Alice LaFollette of Fayetteville and Claudia Stokes of Mississippi; grandchildren, Carmen Autry, Todd Johnson, David Benton, Jamie Britt, Chris Britt, Rebecca Britt and Julianne Britt and great-grandchildren, Tori Pope, Aaron Autry, Aidan Autry, Ian Autry, Parker Johnson and Peyton Johnson.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to "The Peoples Cross Fund" at any local branch of First Citizens Bank or Second Baptist Church 522 Person St. Fayetteville, N.C. 28301.

The children and grandchildren of Clayton Britt are so grateful for the many acts of kindness extended to us in the loss of our dad and granddad. You have shown by your actions your love for him and us. Thank you so much.
