Clifton Ray McLaurin, 91, of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at his home.

Ray was born August 20, 1931 in Cumberland County, NC to the late Kathleen and Clifton McLaurin. He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Carter McLaurin; and brother, Ronald McLaurin.

Ray was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a 1960 graduate of Wake Forest University and a member of the Sigma Pi Fraternity. Ray was a member of the Fayetteville Area Shag Association and was inducted into the Shagger's Hall of Fame.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Jernigan-Warren Chapel. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11-12: 00 PM.

Ray is survived by his sister, Carolyn Horton and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
