FAYETTEVILLE - Miss Connor Elizabeth Maxwell, 17, of Fayetteville, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009. Connor was a sweet and gentle spirit. The only thing that surpassed her beauty was her soul. She was a senior at Village Christian Academy, where she was a cheerleader, member of student government and copy editor of the yearbook. As an active member of Snyder Memorial Baptist Church, she participated in the choir, numerous mission trips abroad, Steps of Faith and Sunday school. She liked to help others, and her smile, humor and giving nature were a gift to all. Connor is survived by her maternal grandparents, John D. and Henrianne C. Fox of Fayetteville; paternal grandparents, Faye S. Maxwell of Fayetteville and Bill Maxwell Sr., of Fayetteville; and maternal great-grandmother, Sallie B. Fox of Pensacola, Fla. She is likewise survived by her aunts and uncles, J. Bryan Fox and wife Stephanie, Kerry F. Garlington and husband Brent, Lynette M. McDonald, Janet M. Prewitt and husband Tad, as well as cousins Loni Fox, Thomas and Emma Claire Garlington, Olivia McDonald, Haywood McDonald, Elizabeth Gilluly and husband Christopher and Edward Prewitt, and many other dear family members and friends. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 6, 2006, at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church, with visitation to follow in the Gathering Hall. Private burial.
