Corey Alan Culver, 29, of St. Pauls, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, in Denton Texas.

Corey was born on July 24, 1994, in Cumberland County to Douglas Lee Culver and the late Pamela Benton.

He attended Hoke County and Harnett County Schools during his younger years. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was previously employed with Tesla Power Co. and was currently working as a superintendent with Blue Ridge Power Company.

Corey was a wonderful provider, always supporting his wife with many of her business ideas and making sure that the family had all that was needed.

He enjoyed playing video games with his son, freshwater fishing, and his DIY projects. He had a love for animals and was always taking in a stray.

Corey was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

In addition to his mother, Pamela Benton, Corey was preceded in death by his grandparents, Douglas and Judy Culver of Ohio.

He is survived by his wife of 6 years, Marina Elizabeth Flores Culver; son Ayden Jay Culver of the home; father and stepmom, Douglas "Doug" Culver and Elizabeth "Libby" Culver of Fayetteville; grandmother, Peggy Swanner of Raeford; brothers, Lee Culver of Ohio, Justin Culver of Fayetteville; sisters, Katherine Benton of Spring Lake, Ashley Culver of Ohio, Alexis Wang and husband Johnny of Queens, NY.
