Obituary

DEWITT, Iowa - Retired Army Command Sgt. Maj. Greg Bradley Bunce, 46, of DeWitt, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012. Mr. Bunce proudly served in the U.S. Army for 27 years. His duty stations included: Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; Fort Riley, Kan.; Fort Bragg, N.C.; Hanau, Germany; Korea; and Fort Bliss, Texas (Sergeant Major Academy Class of 54). Mr. Bunce deployed to Kuwait and Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was a recipient of the Sergeant Audie Murphy Award, the de Fleury Medal, and the Order of the Samuel Sharpe Award. Mr. Greg Bunce was awarded the Bronze Star for his duties and support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Greg Bunce was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Bunce; and his mother, Lucille Jurgensen. He is survived by his daughter, Caroline Elizabeth "Doodlebug" Bunce of Fayetteville; and son, Aaron Taylor Jones of Waynesville, Mo.; two brothers and four sisters, all of Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
