Ms. Dale Cain, 68, of Eastover, died Thursday, September 29, 2011. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 2, 2011, at 3 pm in Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. William Snotherly officiating. The burial will be private. The family will receive friends prior to the service Sunday from 2 to 3pm in the church parlor. Dale was a native of Eastover and a 1961 graduate of Central High School. Being very artistic, Dale had a keen eye for art, was an accomplished pianist and also an excellent vocalist. She was a former co-owner of Riverside Mattress Company. She was most proud of her volunteer work with Cape Fear Valley Hospital/Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Odus and Naomi Cain. She is survived by her son, Allen Huber and fiancee Lisa Ferguson of Fayetteville; daughters, Holly Rumsey and husband Thomas Rumsey of Galway, NY and Joanna Brinson and husband Dennis Brinson of Wilmington NC; grandchildren, Ashley Huber, Justin Huber, Michael Huber, and Emily Huber of Princeton, NC, Chelsea Ferguson of Fayetteville, Jennifer Rumsey, Joshua Rumsey and Jacob Rumsey of Galway, NY, Bailey Walden of Wilmington, and Anna Brinson and Abbey Brinson of Charlotte, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in recognition of Dale's two battles with breast cancer to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, PO Box 650309 Dallas, TX 75265 or to one's favorite charity.
