Obituary

Mr. Dana Wilson "Dane" Pyle, 55, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, April 4, 2015, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 2 pm in Stedman Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Michael Couillard presiding. The burial will follow in Fisher Cemetery in Stedman.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 8, 2015, from 6 to 8 pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home.

Dane was born December 9, 1959, in Sydney, Nova Scotia. He graduated from Tottenville High School in Staten Island, NY in June 1978, and then attended Oklahoma University and entered the school for architecture; he was a walk-on baseball player for the OU Sooners. He worked as both an Associate Pastor with Living Springs Church in Elizabethtown and as a Civil Engineer - Professional Land Surveyor. Dane was passionate about serving God and others; loving his family; coaching, playing, and watching baseball; video production; Baldie Boys; Mets baseball; Jets football; golfing with his uncle Wayne; and making people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Norman Pyle.

Dane is survived by his wife, Naomi Pyle of the home; sons, Brandon Pyle and wife Andrea and Jared Pyle and wife Samantha, all of Rochester, NY; step-daughters, Carolyn Campbell and Anna Campbell, both of Fayetteville; mother, Rev. Laurena Pyle of Rochester; uncle, Wayne Wilson of Ontario, Canada; and an aunt, Ruby Botting of Houlton, Maine.
