Mr. Daniel Robert "Bob" Jackson, 79, of Fayetteville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday evening, June 28, 2013, while surrounded by his loving family. Bob was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a Deacon. He was a supervisor for the US Postal Service; and also an Army veteran of the Korean War. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at 2 pm in Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Kelly Bullard, Rev. Richard Hicks and Rev. Brian Dawson presiding. The burial will follow at Suggs Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in White Oak. Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife of 55 years, Hilda Edge Jackson of the home; sons, Robert Kevin Jackson and wife Connie, Douglas Gregory Jackson and wife Lisa, and Brian Scott Jackson and wife Brenda, all of Fayetteville; 4 grandchildren, Christopher Jackson, Sarah Jackson, Taylor Jackson, and Meredith Jackson; and a sister, Pauline Mooney of Dunn. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Temple Baptist Church building fund. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday June 30, 2013 at Temple Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Suggs Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00pm until 9:00pm Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the funeral home.
