Obituary

Darleen Edge Fowler, 83, went to meet Jesus at her heavenly home on Tuesday, February 8th. Having lived in Fayetteville all her life, she had recently relocated to White Lake N.C. to be close to her children. She was born in Cumberland County on April 11, 1927 to the late Leon and Mittie Edge. She was a member of Northwood Temple Church for more than 40 years where she was involved in teaching Bible studies, Mission work, Evangelizing, and serving her Lord. She was a member of several senior citizen groups and enjoyed participating in their monthly activities. Darleen worked more than 35 years as an Executive Assistant for McLean Real Estate. She was a member of the North Carolina Association of Realtors. She was a Stanley Home Products representative in the Cumberland County area giving Stanley Home parties for more than 20 years. Her spare time was spent traveling with her sisters around the country. She traveled to Germany and her favorite trip was with her Pastor to the Holy Lands to walk where Jesus walked. She was a devoted wife of 51 years to the late Levie Allen Fowler Sr. She is survived by her four children, Allen Fowler, Jr. and wife Ann of Proctorville, Faye Bass Williams and husband Ronnie of Hope Mills, Shelby Lee and husband Tommy of White Lake, and Deborah Douglas and husband Steven of White Lake, 10 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, February 11th at Northwood Temple Church at 4200 Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:30pm until 7:00pm followed by a celebration of her Homegoing. A private family burial will be held on Saturday at LaFayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northwood Temple Church Building Fund 4250 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28311. Services by Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home
