Obituary

STEDMAN - David \\"Admiral\\" Morgan Campbell, 58, of Stedman, died Thursday, June 18, 2009, in Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. David was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was the founder and owner of Cape Fear Crematory and Fayetteville Mortuary Service in Stedman. David is survived by his wife, Karen Campbell of the home. They recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. He was a loving father to his daughter, Ashley Collazo Kline of Stedman; and son, John Nick Antoine of Spring Lake. He was the proud \\"pawpaw\\" of grandsons, Dustin Tyler Blouin of Spring Lake and Eric Jacob Kline of Stedman. He also leaves behind his \\"little mean black dog\\" Morgan of the home; his mother, Keitha Campbell; brother, Richard; sister-in-law, Pam Campbell; niece, Anne Campbell; and nephew, Adam Campbell, all of Canton. A visitation will be held today, Saturday, June 20, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. The funeral service will be held Sunday, June 21, 2009, at 3 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. A private family service will be held at Crawford Ray Funeral Home in Canton. The entombment will follow in Crawford Ray Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Children's Home Society of N.C., 604 Meadow St., Greensboro, NC 27405; or to The Haven-Friends for Life No-Kill Animal Shelter, 400 Fulford McMillan Road, Raeford, NC 28376. The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude and appreciation to all who supported David and Cape Fear Crematory over these many years.
