David Leroy McDaniel, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2007, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was a loving husband and father; a man who will be remembered for his tremendous faith in God and his generous spirit. He is survived by his wife, Faye Autry McDaniel; his daughter, Partricia Arlene McDaniel Fix and her husband, David, of Stedman; his son, David Christopher McDaniel and his wife, Teresa of Dunn; his siblings, Jimmy McDaniel and his wife, Carol of Kennesaw, Ga, Shelba McDaniel Jones and her husband, Bob, of Lawrenceville, Ga, Fred McDaniel and his wife, Rita, of Wade, Danny McDaniel and his wife, Gwen, of New Bern, Carol McDaniel Taylor and her husband, Wayne, of Stedman, Betty Jo Scoggins Smith and her husband, Duane, of Fayetteville; five nephews and thirteen nieces. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Jan. 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the funeral home. Services will be in Magnolia Baptist Church on Friday, Jan. 12, at 3 pm. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that remembrances be made for the Pearlington Mississippi Hurricane Project in his name through Magnolia Baptist Church, 1021 Magnolia Church Road, Stedman NC 28391.
