Dawn Horne Johnson, 60, of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, July16, 2022 at her home with her beloved family by her side.

Dawn was born June 9, 1962 in Cumberland County, NC to the late Ila Lee Chason and Arthur A. Horne.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend to everyone she knew.

Dawn loved the outdoors, camping, beach, cooking, but most of all spending time with her beloved family and friends.

She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Dawn retired from the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office as the Chief Deputy Secretary.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Macedonia Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 6-8:00 PM.

Dawn is survived by her husband of 41 years, Donny L. Johnson; sons, Ross Alexander Johnson and wife Angela, Donny Lee Johnson; sisters, Denise Maultsby and husband Byron, Donna Foster, Diane Latting; grandchildren, Rebecca Yanosik, Rachel Joe Johnson, and Ross Alexander Johnson, Jr.
