Deborah Jean Jacobs, 61, was born on February 27, 1965 in Fayetteville, NC. She entered into eternal rest on Wednesday August 26, 2026. 

She was preceded in death by her mother Ella Jane Scott Jacobs, fraternal grandparents Rebecca Jones and William Jacobs, maternal grandparents Savannah Locklear Scott and Ramon Scott, brother Ronald Scott and son little Ronald and niece Lolly.

Deborah was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memory; her father: Andrew Ellis Jacobs; son James Jacobs (April), two grandchildren AJ and Karina; one brother Anglish Jacobs (Katrinia); five sisters Audrey Joy Jacobs Locklear (Gary), Cathy Ann Scott Wilson (Billy), Savannah Young, Loretta Hammonds Caudle (John), and Betty Hammonds; three aunts Betty Scott Hammonds, Berlether Locklear and Sherry Harris; one sister-in-law Jeanette Scott; a special niece Deborah Jane Locklear; two special friends Jimmy Jones and Dennis Williams; one special cousin "Laura Scott"; seven nephews, fifteen nieces, and host of relatives and friends.

Deborah was loved by many and was always the life of the party. She had many talents and was a very educated woman. She attained her Bachelors degree with a concentration in Criminal Justice, worked many years as Correctional officer, and was the owner of her very own Mental Health business where she helped those in crisis.

She had a deep love for children, especially those with special needs and also enjoyed taking care of her daddy. She loved dressing up and was defintely a diva; when she walked in the room, best believe you knew who she was. She was beautiful but most of all, she had a heart of gold. Deborah had a contagious smile that no one will ever forget. Rest on my dear Queen, you will be dearly missed.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, September 5, 2026, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at 2 pm at the World Faith Clinic Church, 2250 Chickenfoot Rd. in Gray's Creek. Burial will follow in the Harris/Young Cemetery.
