FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Delores Faye "Dokie" Trogdon, 74, of Fayetteville, passed away suddenly Thursday, May 30, 2013, in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Delores was very active and dedicated to Wesley Heights United Methodist Church, having served as longtime church treasurer and on various committees.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2013, in Wesley Heights United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Tryon D. Lancaster officiating. The burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park West on Raeford Road.
Mrs. Trogdon was preceded in death by her husband, George D. Trogdon.
She is survived by her two daughters, Glynda Jo Haley and husband Todd J. Haley Sr. of Jackson Springs and Cathy Danell Smith and husband Robert Lindsay Smith of Linwood; three grandchildren, Todd "T.J." Haley Jr., Joshua Glen Haley and Tanner Scott Haley; brother, Merrill "Bud" Smock and wife, Darlene, of Worthington, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley Heights United Methodist Church, 304 Trinity Drive, Fayetteville NC 28301.Funeral services will be held on Sunday,June 2, 2013, at 2 pm in Wesley Heights United Methodist Church. The burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park West on Raeford Road.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home.
