Dennis Ray Gargano, 73 of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in his home.

Dennis was born July 19, 1944 in Spokane, Washington. He was Sergeant in the US Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. Dennis became a born-again Christian on December 3, 1973.

His enjoyments and accomplishments in his lifetime were: Licensed Pilot-flying Cessna Airplanes, Fly fishing and hunting, Triathlon and marathon runner, Licensed contractor-carpenter and landscaper and Licensed hair stylist and instructor. He retired as Director of Parks And Campgrounds, Santee Lakes, CA.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.

He is survived by wife of 50 years, Linda; daughters, Victoria Brundage, Kimberly Edwards; son, Christopher Schultz; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Gilbertson and Valerie Grosse; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

He was known for his "dry" sense of humor no matter how much pain he was suffering, as well as, high integrity and a heart full of compassion for others
