Mrs. Dessie "Dee" G. Richards, 75, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Richards was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2007, at noon in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville with Dr. John Hedgepeth officiating. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2007, at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Claude Green and Charles Green. She is survived by her husband, retired Army Command Sgt. Maj. E. Rick Richards of the home; daughter, Shirleen Dee Connor of the home; son, Del Ennis Richards of the home; grandson, Jonathon Richard Connor of the home; sisters, Ramah Turk and husband Joseph, Claudine Davis, Marie Christman and husband Charles, Deanna Sheldon and Murriel Warner and husband James; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and a multitude of friends.
