Dewey James Cook Jr., 65, of Fayetteville, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2007, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
He was a retired Navy veteran of the Vietnam War after 22 years of service.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 pm Saturday, March 10, 2007, at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial with full military honors will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey James Cook Sr. and Mary Florence Lindsey.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Olivia Cook of the home; sons, James Cook and wife Marie and Tony Cook, both of Jacksonville, Fl; stepdaughter, Edna Coleman of Goodview, Va; stepsons, William Parr of Roanoke, Va. and Michael Hardwick of Buena Vista, Va.; sister Mary Inman of Fayetteville; three brothers, Charles, Donald and Richard Cook all of Fayetteville; three granddaughters, Bethany, Tiffany and Christen Cook, all of Jacksonville; and great-granddaughter, Jocelyn Cook of Jacksonville;
