Diane (Giasson)
Jackson
November 25, 1953 – October 28, 2025
Diane Giasson Jackson, 71, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Diane was born on November 25, 1953, in Androscoggin County, Maine, to the late Armand Giasson and Laurette Fournier Giasson Anderson. She was raised in a large and loving family as one of eleven children.
Diane proudly served her country in the United States Army, where she met the love of her life, Lester Jackson. The couple was stationed at Fort Bragg in the early 1980s, where they chose to make their permanent home and raise their family.
For more than 30 years, Diane worked in medical records at Womack Army Medical Center, where she was known for her dedication, professionalism, and kindness. After retiring, she enjoyed the simple pleasures of home—spending time by the pool, watching birds (especially her beloved hummingbirds), and cherishing moments with her family.
Above all, Diane's greatest joy was her daughter, whom she lovingly called "Kitten." Family was everything to her, and she will be remembered for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for those around her.
In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lester Jackson, and eight of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Erika Jackson (Trent Tribble); her brother, Ronald Giasson (Katie); her sister, Jeanne Mongeau; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who she loved deeply.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, 545 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301. Online condolences may be shared at www.jerniganwarren.com .
