Retired Tech. Sgt. Don A. Hess, 74, of Fayetteville, died Friday, June 22, 2007, in Duke University Medical Center in Durham. Mr. Hess was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and retired after 23 years of service. He was also retired from Department of Civil Service. Mr. Hess was preceded in death by a son, Danny Auguste Hess. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville. Burial with full military honors will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, June 25, 2007, at the funeral home. Mr. Hess is survived by his wife, Micheline Hess of the home; a daughter, Donna Bright and husband Mike of Fayetteville; a son, Doral Hess and wife Deborah of Hope Mills; four brothers, Darol Hess, Jim Hess, Jerry Hess and Myron Hess; and four grandchildren. Services entrusted to Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
