Retired Army Capt. Donald Allen \\"Don\\" Whitmore, 54, of Fayetteville, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009. He served in Operation Desert Storm. Memorial services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville. Visitation, 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Rosa; sons, Ben, Frank and Brad; daughter, Emilie Sellers; mother, Jessie; father, Theodore; brother, Dale; sister, Sandi Jahn; and four grandchildren.
