Donald Walker Blair, 93, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday June 19, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Temple Baptist Church in Fayetteville, with burial to follow at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. A visitation will be this evening, Friday, June 22, 2012, from 6 to 9p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Beatrice Tew Blair; son, George Blair and wife Linda of Tulsa, Okla.; daughters, Kay Jackson, Martha Couey, and Bernadine Couey, all of Fayetteville; a sister Bonnie Freesen; a brother, John Blair of Illinois; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by a grandson; two sisters, Charlotte and Gwendolyn; and his parents, George and Martha Blair. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to the Temple Baptist Building Fund or Audio Visual Department.
