We are heartbroken to say that our precious Donald Jess Boula, Sr. 81 of Fayetteville, went to be with his Lord Friday night, December 3, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A service at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors will be announced.

Don accomplished 23 years of proud active service in the U.S. Navy and 17 years at the VA in Buffalo, NY as a contracting officer.

He most enjoyed family time, golfing with his brother John and rooting for the Buffalo Bills and the Duke Basketball Team.

Left to mourn his absence is his wife, Jan Donaldson; his former wife, Maryanne Boula; son, Donald Jess Boula, Jr.; brother, John Boula (Cheryl Iiams); sister, Barbara Hathaway; stepson, Jeffrey Donaldson and many friends.
