Mr. Donald D. Braswell, 87, of Fayetteville, died Friday, July 1, 2011, at the Rehab and Healthcare Center at Village Green. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2011, at 3 pm in Snyder Memorial Baptist Church Chapel with Revs. John Cook and Robbie Byrd officiating. The burial will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 to 3 pm in the church's Gathering Hall. Mr. Braswell was retired from Sears after 34 years working in furniture sales. He was also the owner and operator of Don's Sleep Shop. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nell Britt Braswell of the home; two daughters, Susan B. Hardin and husband Gary L. Hardin of Fayetteville and Lisa B. Terry and husband J. Greg Terry of Clemmons; son, Don D. Braswell Jr. and wife Patty Braswell of Garner, NC; and seven grandchildren, Katie Hardin of Raleigh, John Hardin and wife Rachel of Raleigh, Andrew Terry of Clemmons, Casey Braswell and wife Katie of Indiana, Timothy Braswell of Hendersonville, TN, Christina Lindley of Las Vegas, and Chris Linderman of Tennessee. Memorials may be made either to Snyder Memorial Baptist Church 701 Westmont Drive Fayetteville NC 28305 or to one's favorite charity.
