Mr. Donald Allen Gibson, age 60, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham. Mr. Gibson was an Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He was born Dec. 18, 1947, in Rockingham County to Bernard Allen and Nellie Novella Gibson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include sons, Donald Allen Gibson Jr. and wife Deanna and Daniel Bernard Gibson; three sisters, Belinda A. Zittle, Serita J. Gibson and Laura E. Black; one brother, William E. Gibson; grandson, Jordan Gibson; granddaughter, Charlotte Gibson; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake on Monday, March 24, 2008, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service at 5217 Cooper Road.
