Mrs. Donna Diane Sanut Recod, 80, of Fayetteville, NC, arrived at her heavenly home on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family and many dear friends.

Donna was born June 10, 1943, in Sacramento, CA, to the late Paul Calivozo Sanut and Charlotte Grigsby Sanut.  She was a home-legacy maker. Donna was adored by her husband and was the true matriarch of her large family. She was full of grace, wisdom, love, temperance, beauty, and many more virtuous attributes. Donna was a godly woman who loved the Lord and testified of her Savior, Jesus Christ, to everyone she met. She was a prayer warrior and her family extended well beyond her own "sweetbabies".

Donna was preceded in death by her daughter, Dianna Woodhams; grandson, Efrain de la Cruz, Jr "E.J."; and fourteen siblings.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 63+ years, CSM-SF(R) Max Recod; children, Kimberly Joy Pike (and husband Mickey) Max K. Recod (and wife Pamela), Venus de la Cruz (and husband Efrain "Freddie"), and David Recod; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Northview Baptist Church, 7455 Ramsey St., Fayetteville, NC, 28311, followed by a Celebration of Life service for her and her precious daughter, Dianna, at 7:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
