Mrs Dora Riccardella Girdwood, 89 of Fayetteville, daughter of Pasqualie and Giovanna Santore Riccardella, passed away Tuesday 8-22-06 in Carrol S. Robnerson hospice center. Visitation was held from 6:30 to 8:30pm on Wednesday, Aug. 23, at Camp Ground United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, Aug. 24, at Camp Ground UMC with the burial follwing in the church cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Girdwood; her son, David Girdwood; brothers, James and Joseph Riccardella; and a sister, Marion Albunio. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Fisher and husband, Laneen, Kathy Lewis and husband Ray; sons, George Girdwood and wife Gayle, Richard Girdwood and wife Peggy, all of Fayetteville; a daughter-in-law, Betty Girdwood of Comfort, Texas; brothers, Frank Riccardella and wife, Carmella, of New York, and George Riccardella and wife, Eleanor, of New Jersey; a sister, Filomena Buonviaggio of Staten Island, NY; a sister-in-law, Josephine Riccardella of Monroe, NJ; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 40 nieces and nephews.
