FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Doris West Lambert, 73, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Lambert, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, was the minister of music with her husband, Henry, for 20 years at Praise Fellowship (formerly C & Adam Street Church of God). Through their ministry, they touched hundreds of lives. Mrs. Lambert was both a wonderful lady and pianist, known statewide for her amazing talent. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at 2 p.m. in Praise Fellowship Church of God with the Rev. Kenneth Boyd officiating. The burial will follow in Erwin Memorial Park in Erwin. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Henry C. Lambert of the home; a daughter, Pamela Lambert of the home; son, Kevin H. Lambert and wife Angie of Huntersville; four grandchildren, Eric, Bradley, Christopher and Kelsey; four great-grandchildren, Brandon, Cierra, Elizabeth and Ashlyn; a brother, Robert West of Sumter, S.C.; and sister, Deraline McAllister of Shallotte. The family will receive friends today, Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
