Doris Elaine Minshew

Mrs. Doris Elaine Minshew, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and faithful servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026, at the age of 73.

Doris was born on December 30, 1952, to Frank and Doris Belk. She was a woman whose life was centered around her faith, her family, her church, and the many people she loved.

Doris found joy in the simple things in life. She loved fishing, knitting blankets, playing cards and dominoes, serving in her church, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. She was especially proud of her service as part of the Children’s Bus Missionary, a ministry that allowed her to share her love and faith with children in her community.

Doris will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to her family, and the countless memories she created with those around her. Her presence brought warmth and love to the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Tylisa J. Ivey and her spouse, Mike Ivey, and Danielle E. Stephens and her spouse, Billy; her sister, Laveta Wyckoff; her brother, Ark Belk and his spouse, Liz Belk; her grandchildren, Tyler Ivey, Boyce Ivey, and Savannah Stephens; and her great-grandchildren, Makenna Ivey and Robbie Ivey.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Doris Belk; her son, Robert L. Jacobs Jr.; and her beloved husband, David Minshew.

Though Doris is no longer with us, her love, faith, and memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will continue through the generations.

There will be a memorial service at Harvest Baptist Church, 5504 McPhail St Hope Mills, NC 28348 at 1:00PM September 22, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Charity Baptist Church of Greater Fayetteville in Doris’s memory. Donations will be used to support the church’s building fund.
