Doris M. Sheppard Everage, 88, of Hope Mills, passed away on her favorite day of the year, Christmas Eve, 2018.

She worked for many years as an inspector at Purolator.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John W.K. Everage and her son, John "Kern" Everage, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin J. Myers and husband, Joseph of Bostic, NC; daughter-in-law, Donna of Hope Mills; granddaughter, Stephanie Everage; and grandsons, John Sparks and John Everage, III.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 31 beginning at 1 pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 pm in the Jernigan-Warren Chapel followed by entombment at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of one's choice.
