FAYETTEVILLE - Ms. Doris Sewell Tyson, 82, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, in her residence. Ms. Tyson was a member of Northwood Temple and a volunteer with the Cape Fear Valley auxiliary. She also retired from Campbell University's library. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at 2 p.m. in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville with Dr. John Hedgepeth and Dr. Frank Upchurch officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, from 1 to 2 p.m. at funeral home. Ms. Tyson is survived by her daughter, Debbie Tyson Upchurch and Frank of Atlanta; son, Don Tyson and Camille of Fayetteville; sisters, Grace DeCarlo of Greenville, Mary Barrett of Fayetteville, Jean Johnson of Fayetteville, and Ann Mayhew of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
