Dorothy Jean Archer, 74, of Raeford, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. She is survived by 2 children, Dennis Honeycutt of the home and Jean Bruton of Red Springs. She has 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is survived is by 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Junior Kennedy of Kenly, Dossie Kennedy and Judy Best of Lucama and Brenda Carter of Wilson, NC. She was preceded in death in death by her husbands Joel Wilson Honeycutt and Robert Archer. Also preceding her in death is Luke Adams, her great grandson. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at Owen Chapel located behind Camp Ground United Methodist Church at 10 am. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Camp Ground UMC, designated to The Grooms Gang.
