Dorothy "Dot" Boyer Spence, 83 of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday November 15, 2017 with her family by her side. She enjoyed traveling with Road Runners Club and was a Life Master Bridge Player.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Spence of Fayetteville, NC, a son, Warren Spence of Sumter, SC and a sister, Kathleen Waller of Belle Chase, LA The family will receive friends on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 12:30pm to 2pm at Cumberland Union Baptist Church, the funeral service will follow at 2pm in the church, burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, William Spence and wife Linda of Suffolk, VA, and Richard Spence of Fayetteville, NC; a daughter, Evelyn Spence of Yorktown, VA, four sisters, Janie Heflin of Memphis, TN, Ann Stiles of Hernando, MS, Carrie Eddleman of Moro, AR and Doris Jones of Jacksonville, AR; two brothers, John Boyer of Moro, AR and Henry Boyer of Mariana, AR, four grandchildren Jennifer Spence of Bronx, NY, Lisa Boyle and husband Will of Greenville, SC, William "Billy" Spence, Jr and wife Jennifer of Chesapeake, VA and Warren "Ray" Spence Jr and wife Olivia of Columbia, SC.
