Dorothy Bruton Fowler, 90, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at her residence with her beloved family by her side.

Dorothy was born March 23, 1931, in Cumberland County to the late John David Bruton and Inez Williams Bruton. She was a member of Walstone Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 28th at 2 p.m. at Walstone Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 p.m.  prior to the service at the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Fowler; son, David Fowler and daughter-in-law, Betty Grey Fowler; and son, James Fowler.

Surviving are her grandchildren, Tommy Fowler and wife, Charlene, Tanna McMillan and husband Timmy, David and Michelle Fowler, great grandchildren, Caleb Fowler, Timothy McMillan and fiance Kaitlyn, Haley Bill and husband Glenn , Brittany Hood and husband Jordan; great great-grandchildren, Lilah Hood, Lawson Hood, and Brantley Bill.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Walstone Memorial Baptist Church, 260 Walstone Rd., Fayetteville, NC 28301.

The family would like to thank Pruitt Hospice, and her nurses, Carrie Welker and Maurnice Peacock, and her niece, Mary Lou Sullivan for their loving care and compassion.
