Dorothy Mae Garcia passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the age of 93.  She spent most of her adult life in Fayetteville, North Carolina and passed away peacefully at the Haymount Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.  She was a devoted Army wife and loving mother to her three children.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, SGM Anthony Garcia.  She is survived by family members:  son Michael Anthony Garcia and his wife Loni, son Richard Charles, daughter Anna Lisa Garcia, granddaughter Emily Garcia, granddaughter Rebecca Garcia Hunt and her husband Matthew, great grandsons Jackson Hunt and Noah Hunt.

Graveside services will be conducted at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Spring Lake on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 11 a.m.

The family wishes to extend their warmest appreciation for the compassionate and attentive care extended to Dorothy during her stay at Haymount.
