FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Dorothy Kinlaw McLean, 88, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 22, 2010, in Woodhaven Nursing Care Center in Lumberton. She is survived by her four daughters, Judy Pittman and husband Grant of Lumberton, Pat Piner and husband Larry of Fayetteville, Ellen King of Richmond, Va., and Marcia Nordhaugen and husband Paul of Cary; two sisters, Margaret Murphy and husband Joe of Watauga, Texas, Mildred Outten of Alexandria, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 70 years, Troy; siblings, Marion Jr. and Harvey Kinlaw; and parents, Marion Sr. and Carrie Grice Kinlaw of Hope Mills. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Chris Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
