Mr. Dudley Blackburn, 93, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Carol S. Robeson Hospice Center. Mr. Blackburn was born March 13, 1917 in Warsaw, N.C. to Davis James and Katie Elizabeth Blackburn. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and friend. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 2:00p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel with burial following at Lafayette Memorial Park. Mr. Blackburn is survived by two daughters, Linda English and husband Larry, Carolyn Robertson. Sister, Mrs. Norma Kreiger, Six grandchildren, Jay English, Lee Brock, Regina Hart and husband Craig, Craig Brock and wife Onja, Cristol Adams and husband Fred, Amity Caraballo, and 15 great grandchildren. He worked at M & O Chevrolet as an Automotive Technician for 14 years. He retired with Fayetteville City Schools Maintenance Dept after 17½ years. He was a member at Grace Baptist Church.
